Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler Recipe
Few desserts capture the essence of a country kitchen like an Old-Fashioned Peach Cobbler. Sweet, juicy peaches nestled beneath a golden, buttery crust make this dessert a timeless favorite. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and you’ve got pure comfort on a plate.
➡ Ingredients:
4 cups sliced fresh peaches (or canned, drained)
1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
➡ Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, mix the peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
4. Stir in the milk until a smooth batter forms.
5. Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
6. Pour the batter evenly over the butter — do not stir!
7. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter — again, no stirring.
8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbly.
➡ Tips & Swaps:
