1 lb elbow macaroni (cooked and drained)
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 ½ cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
➡ Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large pot, melt butter and whisk in flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes to make a roux.
3. Slowly add milk and cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
4. Add in the cheeses and stir until melted and smooth.
5. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and stir to coat.
6. Pour the mac and cheese into a greased baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
