Nothing beats the crispy, golden crunch of country-fried chicken like Grandma used to make. This recipe brings that classic, down-home flavor straight to your table. Get ready for some finger-licking goodness!

➡ Ingredients:

4 bone-in chicken pieces (breast, thighs, drumsticks)

2 cups buttermilk

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

➡ Instructions:

1. Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight.

2. In a large bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

3. Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.

5. Fry chicken in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F).

6. Place fried chicken on a wire rack to drain and stay crispy.

➡ Tips & Swap Ideas:

Crispier Chicken: Double-dip in buttermilk and flour for extra crunch.

Spice It Up: Add extra cayenne or hot sauce to the buttermilk marinade.

Gluten-Free: Use a gluten-free flour blend.

Leftovers Tip: Reheat in the oven at 400°F for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispiness.
