3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed

2. Prepare the filling: Toss apple slices with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
4. Roll out one dough disk and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Add the apple filling and dot with butter cubes.
5. Roll out the second dough disk and place it on top. Seal and crimp edges. Cut slits on top for venting.
6. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the crust is golden and filling is bubbly. Cool before serving.
