➡ Ingredients:


1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

4 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 onion (diced)

2 carrots (sliced)

2 celery stalks (diced)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste


For the Dumplings:


1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 tsp dried parsley

1 cup milk

2 tbsp butter (melted)


➡ Instructions:


1. In a large pot, sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic in a bit of oil until softened.


2. Add chicken broth, cream, thyme, salt, and pepper, and bring to a simmer.


3. Add chicken breasts and cook until fully cooked through (about 15-20 minutes). Shred the chicken and return to the pot.


4. In a separate bowl, mix together all dumpling ingredients to form a dough.


5. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the simmering broth, making sure they don't touch each other.


6. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the dumplings are puffed up and cooked through.
